Corralejo is a great base, offering an array of facilities including a huge water park, golf, many bars and restaurants, a local market each Friday and Monday - and, if that’s not enough then the sister island of Lanzarote is just a 20 minute ferry trip away or the little islet of Lobos is also close to hand.

Beaches Abound

From your Fuerteventura villa you will be spoilt for choice as to which of the many beaches to visit. Within the town of Corralejo the beaches are small, but great for sun bathing, whilst slightly out of town there is a greater choice. ‘Flag Beach’ is just outside of Corralejo and great if you want to learn to windsurf. The Fuerteventura beach boasts many facilities, including bars, restaurants and is fully patrolled by life guards. Crystal clear waters and white sand go on for miles, not forgetting the famous sand dunes which look like they’re straight out of an advert for Turkish Delight!

The wild north - El Cotillo

Around the tip of Fuerteventura towards the west is El Cotillo, with it’s romantic beaches it’s an ideal get away, but beware as the water can be hazardous as it has strong currents. The North of the island is termed as wild due to its terrain, but it is well worth visiting the ‘North Track’, a bumpy, rocky road that connects El Cotillo to Corralejo.
